This summer was unlike any other. We left Italy in the spring and made the pilgrimage to both coasts in the USA to visit grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends before the boys started their university journey in The Netherlands.
Upon returning to Europe, we wanted some focused family time, just the five of us, before dropping them off at school. We knew Eurocamp was the place to experience that sense of togetherness we were craving before the boys moved to another country.
As we are writing this, we are doing it with a “grateful heart” for all the Eurocamp memories our family has created and the friendships and landscapes we have experienced as a result. When we string all the adventures together, we have spent almost a year Eurocamping through seven countries over the past 10 summers.
Because we were flying Seattle to Amsterdam after our USA adventures, we selected two Eurocamp parcs in the province of North Brabant. We stayed at Lake Resort Beekse Bergen complete with a Safari Park and Eurocamp’s newest parc, Het Genieten, for its proximity to Efteling Amusement Park.

As our oldest son said on the last day of our Eurocamp adventure this year, “I could never, in a hundred summers, get tired of this.” Many of us as parents have heard that we only get 18 summers with our children.
