Often people will joke about a life of travel being for the independently wealthy. These conversations led me to the realization that this journey is more about stealth than wealth. To be stealthy means to move slowly and deliberately, under the radar. Stealth has made our dollar go further.
We have learned that the faster we move, the less deliberate we are about what we eat and where we stay, and how we show up every day.
Because we are less deliberate when we move quickly, we spend more.
The more we spend, the less we blend and the more touristy our experience becomes.
Independently wealthy? No, but hopefully someday.
